mefloquine

n.
a drug used in the prevention and treatment of malaria that is resistant to chloroquine. It is administered by mouth; side-effects can include dizziness, rash, gastrointestinal problems, and psychiatric disturbances (e.g. depression, psychosis), and the drug should not be taken during pregnancy, by psychiatric patients, or with beta blockers.
